As per EU Cohesion Policy funding for 2021-2027, €817m have been earmarked to support the sustainable development of Malta’s economy as set out in the Commission’s Partnership Agreement. This includes Schemes to support aid to SMEs; aimed at assisting:
- INVESTMENT in Innovation, Research, and Technology
- Consolidating Investment within the ICT sector;
- Enhancing Malta’s competitiveness through investment in SMEs;
The Measures and Support Division within the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs has been designated as the Intermediary Body (IB) responsible for centrally administering and managing these grant schemes, which operate on a rolling-call basis according to demand.
